Our First Pop-Up: ippuku

In their own words ...
We met through Das Japanische Haus on Eisenbahnstraße, and from this connection, the idea of Ippuku was born — a project that brings people together to enjoy Japanese food and moments of calm.
The Japanese word “ippuku” (一服) means to take a break, to relax, and to enjoy the moment. In our logo, we use the character 福 (fuku), which means “happiness” or “good fortune,” to express our wish to share not only a moment of rest, but also “a piece of happiness”.
Ippuku is a Japanese food project based in Leipzig. Besides our pop-ups, we also run a small onigiri café at Martinstr. 13, where you can enjoy handmade rice balls and more. We also cater for events and are happy to collaborate on special occasions.
Come join us and take an ippuku with us — we look forward to seeing you!
